One-Meter Chain Reaction at Greatorex Street

This durational participatory performance invited six women from the exhibition audience to engage in an unrehearsed live interaction based on a set of simple pre-shared rules. Through mirroring, repetition, and intuitive response, the performers explored silent, embodied connections between women — connections that require no language, yet carry deep emotional resonance.

The piece culminated in an unexpected, collective gesture: participants naturally reached out, held hands, and raised them together — breaking the pre-established one-meter boundary without instruction, revealing the quiet power of shared experience and mutual recognition.

This performance was part of a feminist-themed group exhibition at Huang Contemporary.
